Together We Can

It’s the logo on our team shirts. A constant reminder that its not about us. A team effort, working together. Previously, I mentioned Dr Mathema. Other than the staff of the Scheer, he’s the only paid member of the team. Mind you its only a fraction of his usual rate, as he believes in our program and has enormous compassion for his people. For 2 weeks our team operates on 50 patients, but the success depends on his expertise to follow up our patients after the team has departed. That’s where Dr Mathema comes in. We simply can’t do it without him.

“Togetherness” also extends to the Uma, the Director of Nursing and her wonderful nurses, the theatre team, and in fact the entire Scheer Memorial Hospital. Especially to Max as he makes sure our every need is attended before the visit, and during the visit. For this program to work, we need to work with each other, respecting each other. “Together we can”.
