I’m literally falling asleep writing this so sorry if I’m rambling on and not making any sense! We finished operating today and had our party tonight. It was really lovely. There are only 16 of us left and it is a friendly, supportive group – who are all extremely tired! I was thoroughly spoilt tonight as the team celebrated my 20th year of coming to Nepal. They had made me a “gown” out of a disposable theatre gown and decorated it with beads, bangles and scarves. It was signed by all the team members and a lot of the hospital staff. Apparently I have to wear it at the hospital tomorrow as well! Its the closest I will get to wearing a sterile theatre gown – anyone who knows me well will know that the operating theatre is not my favourite place in the world! I was also given a beautiful silver chain and pendant which I will cherish. Tags: womens-health,
