Hawaiian Anaesthetists Home » Tales from the field » Hawaiian Anaesthetists Posted on 26 February, 2015 Anaethetist, Paul Wagon, has been on more trips to Myanmar than everyone one else here. Anaethetist, David Mawter, has been digging deep and clocking up the trips to Myanmar also. Absolutely commendable. At dinner one previous evening, I couldn’t help notice from afar their excellent taste in fashion. Word has it, they spent a significant part of the evening discussing, who bought their hibiscus shirt first? When they are not busy discussing hibiscus shirts, they are also similarly dressed (in scrubs of course) at Yangon General Hospital, and Yankin Children’s Hospital. The photos below are from Yankin Children’s Hospital where the team is “in it for the long haul”. It’s likely a six plus hour operation, of a 17 year old girl led by Burmese surgeon Dr. Win Win and supported by Australian surgeon Dr. Bruce French. Tags: Myanmar,
