Jean Lucky Prince Ntwali not only boasts a cool name, but has a new heart thanks to Open Heart International.

The six year old, who loves football, is recovering from having a hole in his heart fixed.

The hole was in the wall that separates the top two chambers of theheart, which is a defect that allows oxygen-rich blood to leak into the oxygen-poor blood chambers in theheart.

Jean Lucky Prince’s mum Husabimana Marie Chantal, from the North Province in the Burera District, about three hours’ drive away from Kigali, knew he was unwell when he was three years old.

“He had loss of weight, breathing issues, a fever and bad coughing,” she says.

“I am so happy they fixed him and I thank you all.”
