ADRA, Sanitarium team up in Fiji Home » Tales from the field » ADRA, Sanitarium team up in Fiji Posted on 4 April, 2016 The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) has partnered withSanitarium Health and Wellbeing to deliver more food aid to hungry communities following Cyclone Winston in Fiji. Boxes of Weet-Bix and So Good were donated by Sanitarium for ADRA to deliver to people most in need. More than 620families received packs of Weet-Bix and So Good soy milk. In total, 2268 cartons of So Good and 3568 packets of Weet-Bix were distributed. The distributions were initially planned for evacuation centres in Ba and Tavua. Butreports gathered from the emergency operation centre inRakiraki indicated reported loss in weight in children under fiveyears of age. In light of thesereports, the distributions were targeted towards beneficiaries from isolated communities that missed out on the earlier food pack and WASH kits distributions. 354 children from 15 remote villages were amongst the thousands of people who benefited. ADRA has now delivered urgent food and hygiene assistance to more than 10,000 people in Fiji since Cyclone Winston struck Fiji in February. Tags: Latest News,
