Glenys Chapman 2018 Scholarship now open

The Glenys Chapman Scholarship was established in 2017 to honour the tremendous contribution that Glenys made to Open Heart international.

Through the scholarship it is our intention to provide a San “new grad” nurse an opportunity early in their nursing career to experience how working and volunteering in a developing country is life-changing.

Open Heart International will fund the cost of the recipient’s travel and participation in an Open Heart International project visit to Nepal. Our Nepal project visits normally occur just prior to Easter each year.

With teaching and capacity building in mind, Open Heart International usually recruits volunteers with years of experience, so an opportunity within a new graduate year is an opportunity worth applying for!
