Dadeldhura Hospital Reclaimed

We are saddened by the news today that HDSC-TEAM hospital in Dadeldhura, Nepal has been reclaimed as a government hospital moving forward. This was the site of our project expansion in Women’s Health earlier this year. Our thoughts are with the staff at this uncertain and confusing time.

Under Nepali legislation, not-for-profit hospitals can be converted to government hospitals at the instigation of the government.

We are continuing to dialogue with ADRA Nepal and the HDSC-TEAMat this time, however it would be extremely unlikely that we will be able to return in 2014. Other possible expansion sites are being discussed.
