Coronary Care Cambodian Coastal Challenge Home » Tales from the field » Coronary Care Cambodian Coastal Challenge Posted on 31 July, 2013 The Coronary Care Unit of Sydney Adventist Hospital is running a fundraising walk in support of Open Heart International. The funds raised will be going directly to sponsor Cambodian children through complex cardiac surgery. The coastal hike will take place on Sunday the 29th of September and is 20 km from Narrabeen Lakes to Palm Beach. The entry fee is $50 (including GST). Each entrant will receive a polo-shirt, lunch, snacks, drinks along the way and a sausage sizzle at the finish. Each entrant makes a commitment to raise at least $500. Every dollar fundraised is tax deductible and will help support the costs of surgery for Cambodian children. On average, it costs Open Heart International $3500 to provide heart surgery per patient. Let’s see how many surgeries we can sponsor and lives transformed!
